Rocca Calascio is a fortress located at an altitude of 1,460 mt a.s.l. in Abruzzo, in the municipality of Calascio (AQ) in the Parco Nazionale del Gran Sasso and Monti della Laga.
The castle is one of the highest in Italy, and the ancient village below was abandoned 3 centuries ago, and now just starting to be renovated.
