Located about 200 km east of Rome, Pescara can easily be reached by A24-A25, exit Pescara Nord or Sud. From the Adriatic it is connected to the A14 through the A25. State Road SS17 connects the city to L'Aquila.

There are train connections from Rome to Sulmona, and to the cities of the north and south Adriatic (Ancona, Venice, Bologna, Bari) [trains timetables and tickets can be found on the official Trenitalia website]

Just outside of Pescara there is the International Abruzzo Airport where it is possible to pick up rental cars. Rome airports can also be reached in 2-4 hours depending on the traffic.
