Canna, Province of Cosenza, Calabria

Of medieval origin, Canna is surrounded by centuries-old olive trees and the Commaroso forest. It has a typically 17th-century urban structure, with Renaissance, Baroque and Neoclassical elements. It reached a population of about 1,800 inhabitants in the early 19th century, then it was reduced by emigration and presently its economy is mainly based on agriculture.
