Enrico Ciarfella died in Sardinia at 22 during WW2, and was brought back yesterday to his native hometown, where a Mass was celebrated for him in thepresence of his sisters Lea, Olga and Ersilia, his brothers Mario andd Ezio. Commemorations also for gold medals soldiers Felice Di Nicolantonio and Settimio Di Battista, who died in 1940 and 1941, for Cristoforo Gagliardi, and many more heroes and war victims from Tocco.

The coming Wednesday Adele Marulli Mantenuto, born on 14 november 1898 in San Valentino, will celebrate her 103rd birthday with her two sons, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Adele is in good health and very energetic, that's why she is nicknamed «la comandante».
