Montesilvano - Refugee from Santiago now has a restaurant - Marie Claire, oggi ristoratrice, by Rosalba Ciancaglini
Marie Claire Jauregui, 40 came to Abruzzo in 1993 with husband Nick Cocco, whom she met in Canada, where her socialist family had taken refuge after Pinochet took power. Her mother Nelly Andrade Bernè was Labour Minister in the Allende government. She remembers the sight of the Acongagua, Pablo Neruda, Horacio, Marcelo, Jorge of the "Inti Illimani". In Montesilvano, thanks to the climate and the sea, she feels she is at home again.
