The European road of castles / Le strade dei castelli portano all'Aquila
An agreement was reached today for the Ecr, European Castle Road, which
will include the Province of L'Aquila, San Vito dei Normanni-Apulia,
Bunol-Spagna, Godollo-Ungheria, South Burgenland and Austria. Soon a
website will give information at www.europeancastleroad.net

included in Abruzzo are l' Aquila, Celano,
Gagliano Aterno, Pettorano sul Gizio and Capestrano.

Sulmona - Solemn funeral for Cosimo the tramp / Funerali in cattedrale per Cosimo il barbone, by Sante Iavarone
Yesterday at 19.00 in Saint Giles, Edinburgh, la great ceremony to say farewell to the gentleman tramp from Sulmona. Cosimo Presutti was known and respected by everybody. The BBC yesterday aired a special on his story. To the funeral also city mayor Eric Millighan. Cosimo Presutti was killed by a pirate driver. His body will be transferred to Italy and buried in the family chapel.

Flaiano's relationship with Abruzzo / Il rapporto conflittuale tra l'autore e l'Abruzzo, by Paolo Di Vincenzo
Flaiano's relationship with Abruzzo was greatly contradictory. He lived in Pescara only a few years, in 1920 was in school in Rome, in 1942 his only daughter was born: Luisa. the baby was infected with acute encephalithic disease, and lived in a clinic until her death in 1992. His widow, Rosetta Rota, spoke for the first time on 19 November 2000 of his relationship with Pescara and Abruzzo.
