Ellis Island museum on line / On line il museo di New York , by Paolo Di Vincenzo
Italians, and among them Abruzzese, emigrated in great numbers in the late 19th and early 20th century. At Ellis Island they were kept in quarantine, registered and finally admitted in the United States, from 1892 to 1954. 12 million people entered the States through Ellis Island, which now has been turned into a museum with its Internet site, where a search form allows to check the names of the emigrants.
