The new issue of "Fmr" journal publishes a special on the ceiling of the church of san Donato, covered with over 800 ceramic tiles dated 1615-17. The rich images are explained by art historian Adele Anna Amadio. Castelli rises at the feet of the Gran Sasso and its splendor began under the Orsini family, who were lords of the Valle Siciliana until 1526.

After 400 years, «Geometria» by Ieronimo Pico Fonticulano, edited by Diego Maestri, was reprinted. Born in 1541 he settled in Aquila and was the first to construct a regular pentagon. Another field where he applied his science was the land measurement.
