San Salvo - Remains of a Roman aqueduct / I resti di un acquedotto di epoca romana, by Paola Calvano
Excavations will be made under the piazza San Vitale, which will shed light on the history of San Salvo, up to now believed to have risen around a Benedictine monastery in the early Middle Ages. The discovery of the Roman constructions points to the existence of the settlement as possibly a Roman harbor along the river Trigno.

Ortona - The castle and history / Il castello scheletro di storia, by Giovanni D'Alessandro
The ancient district of Terravecchia contains the oldest architecture of Ortona: the Aragonese castle and the palazzo Farnese. The castle, in ruin now, is an exceptional specimen of military architecture and for its striking position on a rock overlooking the sea.
