The feature of this San Valentino in Italy is the "bacheca dell'amore" in Avezzano, filmed by TV groups from Italy and abroad. The owner of popular cornetteria "Il popolo della notte", Ernesto Lucci had the idea of posting the love messages of his customers in a window outside his shop.

Casoli - From Sacramento to Casoli / Una storia che sembra una favola, by Giovanna Ruscitti
Laura from Sacramento (California) never visited her grandparents' land. She chose the place however to marry her boyfriend, Bart Yasso, sponsorhip director of "Runner's World", Bethlehem (Pennsylvania). Both are marathon runners and will be in Rome spring Marathon first, and then to Casoli, Abruzzo, to be united in marriage by the village mayor. Laura's maternal grandparents, Carmela and Domenico Di Lauro emigrated to Philadelphia (Pennsylvania) inthe 1920's to return to Casoli 50 years later. They got married in Casoli in 1909.

New York - Donna Fiorella's mansion / La casa a Manhattan di Donna Fiorella, by Dom Serafini
In the 75th street, Manhattan, there is the mansion of Duchess Fiorella Acquaviva d'Aragona, the last descendant of the founders of Giulianova. Originally Castrum Novum, Giulianova took the name of Giuliantonio Acquaviva d'Aragona, a condottiere who was executed by the Turks in 1481, and a descendant of Rinaldo Acquaviva, who received title and lands in the Province of Teramo from king Henry VI of Swabia in 1195. From 1952 to 1969 Donna Fiorella lived in America, where she moved with her parents. She has transmitted her title to a grandson in Milan, and is ready to give the right also to her three granddaughters, now American residents.
