"Ricordi dell'Aia" by Nazzareno Mascitti follows the history of the square, the center of farmers' work and trade, where children played and people used to meet.

Domenica Di Tomasso, widow of Camillo Cichelli, five children, 9 grandchildren and 14 great-grand-children always lived in the open air and ate healthy food, which she thinks helped her live so long. Still healthy, she likes a glass of wine with her meals and she does crocket-needle work. Her memory too is as strong as ever and she is always willing to tell stories of the 1915 earthquake.
