Two scholars, Rumanian Stefan Damian and Italian Filippo De Marchis, have finally lovcated the remains of San
Giovanni da Capestrano, deceased in Jlok (Croatia) on 23 october 1456. The remains disappeared in 1521, when the friars hid them for fear of the Turkish invasion. San Giovanni, the "apostle of Europe" is widely venerated in Hungary.

Avezzano - Ceremony for earthquake victims / Cerimonia per ricordare l'anniversario del terremoto, by Luigi Ricciardi
A ceremony today on Mount Salviano for the 86th anniversary of the disastrous earthquake that hit central Abruzzo on the morning of 13 january 1915, destroying many places and claiming 30,000 victims. "Survivors, says mayor Mario Spallone, were able to react courageously. And we, their heirs, ust follow that path to honor the victims".
