Building exploitation has spared some ancient liberty villas, hidden among concrete monsters in viale Regina Margherita (formerly Viale dei Pini) which can still show the pristine beauty of Castellammare, the town that rose north of the river, and was the summer residence of rich families from Teramo. Villa Urania, built in 1895 by Baron Giandomenico Treccia for his wife Urania Valentini di Loreto is one of the most beautiful examples, with its precious collection of Castelli ceramics. Then there is Villino De Laurentiis, Palazzo Tomaselli, Villa Montani and Villa Selecchi, with the nearby Parco Florida, where the intellectuals and artists used to meet. Villa Marchegiani, bought by Angelo Delfino, an enterpreneur back from the United States.

Baptism and confirmation certificates ordered through www.ciaoweb.it/smporto, the website of the parish Madonna del Porto, San Vito Marina, one of the few sites of this kind in Abruzzo. Aims of the website is to give information about the parish activity also to university students and sanvitesi abroad. Don Amerigo personally updates the website, but he says the human contact is always more important than anything else.

The church of Madonna delle Grazie in Tocco, one of the most beautiful in the Val Pescara, is online thanks to webmaster-historian Vittorio Di Giulio, who availed himself of the work of Padre Samuele Iovenitti and Padre Felice Di Virgilio, and dealing mainly with the precious works in the church and its history.
