50th edition of the celebrated Presepe Vivente. In 1951 the idea was to emphasize the importance of peace, soon after WW2 and during the Cold War. 50 years later the organizers wanted to give another message of peace: mary and joseph are impersonated by two young Palestinians. Everything is ready on the plain of Piè Lucente, over 250 characters under the masterly direction of Marcello Ferrara.

The ancient song will be heard again through the streets, singers will go from house to house "Noi veniamo questa sera con una nuova più che vera. Dommattina è la Pasquetta che sia santa e benedetta". And in the end the request for a gift "Date a noi un gallinaccio, o salsicce o sanguinaccio, o prosciutto o mortadella o buon cacio e scamorzella. Noi di qui non ce ne andremo se di doni non ne avremo". These beautiful traditions made every festivity more joyous for everybody.
