Roma - Exhibition of sculptor Cascella / Mostra dello scultore abruzzese
34 works on show in vicolo Valdina, Rome, just near the parliament in Montecitorio. The Abruzzese sculptor has been living for years in a castle in Tuscany. He believes in discovering the sacred element in stone. Also a photo exhibition of the works that are in other parts of the world, like the Nave in Pescara, the Porta della sapienza in Pisa, the memorial in Auschwitz just where the railtrack ended.

www.Pescara2000.it is a new, fast portal, with local information, free announcements, useful numbers and addresses, theatres and cinemas. The portal is a joint development of Pointcom and Infopoint, and not just a collection of links, but offers its own services and a daily newsletter accessible through a mailing-list.

Ortona - Pilgrims from everywhere to the Apostle's shrine / San Tommaso, l'Abruzzo lo snobba, by Alessandro Biancardi
Very few people know that Thomas the apostle is kept in the cathedral of San Tommaso, Ortona. Only the Ortonesi have devoutly worshipped the sacred shrine for centuries. In the alms box a letter in german was found: a terminal cancer patient from Germany thanked the saint for his miraculous healing. Parish priest don Tarcisio is collecting details on all the miracles.
