Avezzano - Salviano, ecoparco marsicano / A natural path through the parks, by Maria A. D'Alessandro
From the Salviano reserve a natural pathway will lead to the National Park of Abruzzo, Lazio and Molise. This is the first Italian urban reserve connected to a park, similarly to the Ekopark in Stockholm. Projects: recreate a small lake, enlarge the park so as to include Scanno and Avezzano, reopen the «casa del pellegrino» and establish a Centro natura Marsica, a museum devoted to nature and the environment.

Chieti - Order of Malta to the Archbishop / Ordine di Malta per Menichelli
On official occasions the archbishop of Chieti-Vasto, mons. Edoardo Menichelli will wear the white mantle and traditional cross of the Sovrano militare ordine di Malta (Smom), the order of Jerusalem knights founded in 1099 by Blessed Gerardo as a hospitalier body, then changed into a military order, which received the recognition of the Catholic Church by Pope John XXIII.

Pescasseroli - Exhibition on legendary beasts / Una mostra sulle belve leggendarie
Inauguration next Tuesday of «Animali misteriosi», an exhibition on the strangest creatures of the planet through the lens of Cryptozoology, which studies forgotten or mysterious animals. The exhibition will be open throughout the summer in the palazzo ducale, Alvito, in Latium. Special guests: the Yeti, Loch Ness monster, the Celacantus, the Australian Tilacino.

Controguerra - A nature itinerary for trekking and cycling / Percorso vita e pista ciclopedonale
Between Marches and Abruzzo a 4-km track will follow the Tronto river at Spinetoli. At the entrance of the track a wide serviced area amid poplars and small lakes, connected to a green oasis with museum and orchards.

Catignano - Living scenes and torches / Quadri viventi e una fiaccolata fino all'abbazia di Santa Irene
Yesterday evening a Via Crucis proceeded from Catignano to the abbey of Santa Maria, where the remains of Santa Irene are kept. A long train of torches in the dusk, stopping from time to time at the 14 hand-painted ceramics pieces made for the 150th anniversary of the transfer of St. Irene's remains from Roma.
