An Albanese citizen finds 33 million / Trova 33 milioni e li riconsegna, by Sante Iavarone
Vladimir Gjoka, a young worker from Albania domiciled in Sulmona was suspected two months ago of having mafia connections and spent 10 days in prison before his innocence was ascertained. Apparently he had only asked a Sulmonese builder for his salary, and this denounced him for extorsion. Then Vladimir found yesterday a suitcase with 33 million lire partly in already endorsed checks. He did not hesitate and brought the money to the police, who contacted the owner.

Lanciano - One million pilgrims expected / Arriva un milione di pellegrini al Miracolo Eucaristico, by Mario Giancristofaro
600,000 pilgrims last year, 1 million this year - everyday buses bring visitors to the church of San Francesco, where a consecrated host changed into real blood and flesh in the 8th century. Recently archeological excavations have brought to light ancient San Legonziano's where the miracle took place, a Roman "cisterna" and more. The administration of the municipality says an affordable hotel in Lanciano is badly missing.

The 13th century parish church of Montesilvano Colli is falling to pieces - parish priest don Francesco Nonni asks for help - A visit from the fire brigade declared the whole building needs restoration and is dangerous. No reply ever came to don Francesco's request and he and the parishioners are also trying their luck in lottery systems.

Association "Il Torrione" has financed a 200x100 cm ceramic piece to artist Enea Cetrullo from Pescara to be inserted in the empty frame over the portal, where once an inscription was probably placed.
