Chieti - On 25 March inauguration of the archeological Park / Fissata per il 25 l'inaugurazione alla Civitella, by Mario D'Alessandro
The Museo della Civitella can be visited freely for two months while it is being set up. Also the nearby Archeological Park will soon reopen to visitors, with its Roman small temples, the Roman theatre in Via Porta Napoli and the Baths in Via Papa Giovanni XXIII.

Today and tomorrow in the sala Michetti, L'Aquila, a multimedia event on the "Piceni popolo d'Europa", with Dvd and dolby surround audio, to get a feeling of this ancient civilization of warriors, travellers and merchants who inhabited Abruzzo and Marches between the 11th and 6th centuries BC. Entrance free, and to all visitors a high memory card playable on any CD reader. The scientific coordinator of the project is archeologist Vincenzo D'Ercole.

Also mayor Roberto Angelucci with a paper Roman helmet and band "Lu Passatore" opening the parade, then the "Hansele" players from Markdorf, Germany, (twin town to Francavilla), whose multi-colored costumes are 510 years old. The tradition says Hansele, whose clothes were made of patches because he was very poor, used the sound of a whip to frighten evil spirits in the forest.
