Six years' time for the economy until in 2006 EU funds will all go to Eastern European countries. President Falconio is optimistic: at the Berlin summit the Abruzzo development model was greatly appreciated. Also the Italian governemment considers Abruzzo a top priority. But a lot of work must be done: increase strength and reform the administration, find markets for Abruzzese products, give our youths a future through computer and network training. A great asset in this development model are the Abruzzese communities abroad.

The tenth Edition of the celegrated enological - artistic event is dedicated to Andrea Pazienza, a comic strip designer who died in 1988, whose drawings appeared on many national journeys and also supplied labels to wines, as in the Zaccagnini winery where many great contemporary artists left their signatures.

Two specializations available this year: artistic, connected to the Casa di Dante in Abruzzo, and archaeological in cooperation with the museum in Celano. In the program also a musicology meeting with American students. The first graduates are expected in May 2000.
