Bishop San Giustino, worshipped in Chieti, and San Giustino the patrono of Paganica were the same person according to Paganichese historian Giovanni Fiordigigli. In the book it is described how Giustino came from ancient Siponto, present-day Manfredonia, with his brothers Fiorenzo and Felice, niece Giusta and her milk-sister Umbrasia; all the family was killed in the persecutions against the Christian, with the exception of Giustino who moved to Chieti and was made a bishop there.
