Ten German journalist have come to Italy to visit the sites of the ancient Piceni within the "I Piceni, popolo d'Europa" project, organized by the four Marches provinces, Teramo and Chieti. They visited Campli, Teramo, Castelli and Atri. An itinerant exhibition will be inaugurated in Frankfurt on 11 december, then moved to Ascoli and Teramo.

At Chieti Scalo everybody remembers the handsome youth who after becoming a highly praised model entered a seminar. Mauro Primavera is thinner now, from 9 to 17 he is studying in Newark, New Jersey, and working on the building. Newspapers and magazines all over Europe have spoken of his case, as well as TV networks. A nun confirms he had a vision that led to his conversion from his previous life.

Already 500 copies sold after a few days for the 16-page, two-color periodical. The aim: record the best and worst in town. Gaetano Basti is the creator also of the fine periodical "D'Abruzzo". The directors: Rossano Orlando, Paolo Budani, Patrizio Marino. Next issue september 23.

Five the churches where in the Jubilee Year the Pardon will be obtained: San Giustino in Chieti, San Giuseppe in Vasto, the Volto Santo sanctuary in Manoppello, Madonna dei Miracoli in Casalbordino and San Camillo de Lellis in Bucchianico, as established by Archbishop Edoardo Menichelli. The pardon will be granted on the first Sunday of each month also in Madonna delle Grazie, Monteodorisio. The Jubilee will be officially opened on Christmas Day 1999 in San Giustino and will be closed on 6 January 2001.

Rosciano, ancient wonderfully preserved medieval borough, is the theme of a new book by Antonio Mezzanotte, «Ad Castrum Rosciani - Viaggio nella nostra storia», 1000 copies available for free distribution. The book follows the history of the place up to the XX century, describing the monuments, the castle, tower and the Baroque church, the ancient fountains so vital in the rural economy.
