Hello Rocca Pia!! I was born in Rocca Pia in 1951 and came to Canada with my parents; Giuseppe Leone and Antonietta Berarducci in 1956. My grandparents, Onofrio Berarducci and Anina Pulcini joined us in 1961. My widowed grandmother Giuseppina DiPaolo Leone and my Zia Lina came here in 1959, as my Zio Mario Leone and his wife Gilda were already here as well. Now the Leone name is flourishing in Canada. I have two brothers, Robert and Tony; and three sons; Don, Greg and Scott, and a daughter Amanda. My son Don has a son Donato, and a daughter Maja and my son Greg will become a father any day now! Ciao Tutti!

I am looking for informations of my bisgrandfather: Giusepe Rubino.
He has born in San Cipriano Picentino (Salerno) and has married with Catharina Conte. He has died in Brazil in 1914.
In 1899, he had a son in Brazil called Ciriaco Conte Rubino. Ciriaco defended Italy during the war of 1914.
I need to find the register of his "birth, wedding" that happened in Italy probably in San Cipriano Picentino.
I wil really appreciate if someone confirm the officer (anafrade) and send me instructions to get it.
Thanks in advance,
Adriana

I had the wonderful experience of visiting Schiavi d'Abruzzo in July, the town where my mother was born. It is a beautiful mountain village and it was living a dream. I actually met some relatives on my mother's side, descendents of my grandmother's brother. We shared a wonderful day together. I Was also able to trace the family tree (maternal) back to my great grandparents. Some of the family names are: Di Santo, Del Vecchio, Sabatino, Orlando and Falasca. I truly encourage anyone who is thinking of going there to do so....

I am searching for Ferinna Scarci Delfini who formerly lived near the Chicago area. She and her husband had four sons. Her husband was in the house building trade and Ferinna managed a large restaurant. When she and her husband retired, they returned to Italy and settled in Palena, Abruzzo. My father and Ferrina are cousins. We live in Cleveland, Ohio and Ferinna and my dad corresponded for many years. When she returned to Italy my father wrote her several letters but never received a reply. He's quite concerned about her and asked me to use the internet as a tool to search for her. I came across an e-mail on this site which I answered. Unfortunately, the e-mail address is no longer current and I have reached a dead end. I'm hoping that someone out there might know what happened to her. Thanks.

Hello ... looking for Marro/Marra Family Ancestry; G-Grandfather, presumably "Michael" Marro stayed in Castel Marrone, Italy, and grandfather, Joseph Marro, immigrated around the turn of the century thru Ellis Isl. to Hamden (New Haven) CT; married to Maria Volpe of Avellino. Question is whether the family name was actually Marro or Marra. My grandfather has a first cousin, Louise Marra - also immigrated to Hamden. Joseph & Maria had 11(?) children total ... only 8 survived to adulthood, including my mother, (deceased) Margaret June Marro Blackie. All siblings are deceased except Louise Marro Pacelli. Michael must have had siblings for Joseph and Louise to be first cousins ... but who? Does anyone recognize this family "tree branch"? Grazie Tutti!

I am looking for information regarding my father's family. We can go back only as far as my grandfather. His name was Giacomo Pari and his last residence in Italy was Torli Sannio, Campobasso. His father's name was Mariano and his mother's name was Carmella. I have relatives in Italy, however, I do not have access to them; I know one of their names is Concetta, and I think another one's name is Rafaella, or Raphaella. My brother and I are very interested in tracing our Italian ancestry. I wrote a letter about 15 years ago to the Italian government but it was returned to my grandmother and she had a family feud years ago and wouldn't tell me anything about my grandfather's family. The letter from Italy came from Caserta - not Campobasso. I would greatly appreciate any information about any Pari's in those areas. Thank you.
