I just started looking for my grandfather Amicone's (Stefano) parents. I think I have located the info. The LDS church has it. He was from Forli del Sannio, Campobasso born in 1872. There a few Amicones living in Abruzzo.I have all the listings for phone and address. I will be visiting Italy when I get all my info together.

I would like to be in touch with any of the DiPaolo family who are descendants of the 3 sisters of Nicola, Dominico & Guiseppi DiPaolo from Castelguidone. Nicola and his brothers left Castelguidone and settled in PA and NY and their sisters remained behind. We visited the family in 1978 and 1982 but have lost touch. Hi, too much to say about this wonderful site. I grew up in Wilmington, Delaware and went to school with kids from almost every family name here. I was in Teramo 10 years ago and found my mother's cousins, DiEleuterio. I tried to find the Merlini's but there were too many. My grandfather is William, his wife Amalia Maiorini. I will be back in Teramo December this year. Would love to find my Merlini cousins.

What a great site! Both sets of grandparents immigrated to the USA from Italy.... both of my mother's parents were from Abruzzo.... LaPenna (grandmother) and Cafarelli (grandfather). I"m told my grandfather was from Roccamorice. He still has a sister in the area, married last name is Ferrari. I'm contemplating a trip to Italy in November and considering going to Abruzzo as a few family members have gone to meet our relatives still there, and had a wonderful time!
