An excellent website. You can't imagine how surprised I was to find my little town
of Cugnoli, on the web. Sadly I also noticed the decline in population. I guess nobody likes to live in the country anymore!
But, I will always remember it the way it was in my childhood days.
It's still my roots and this year I will be taking my sons back for the second time.

Howdy..my grandfather Frank Dosa married Angelina Trombetta (one of ten children) from
Pettorano sul Gizio. I am searchimg the branches of our family tree to learn of my grandparents history.
Unbelievable to discover that my grandpa was an only child and so was my dad.
For an italian family, that seems unusual. If we are related ,please contact me and climb that family tree together. grazie.

This is an outstanding site. My Grandparents emigrated to the United States around the early 1900's. My Grandfather, Angelo DiBenedetto was born in Pescosansoneco in 1877 and my Grandmother, Genuina Falone D'Angelo was born in Corvara in l879. Several of my Grandfathers brothers settled in Massachusetts and Grandmothers sister settled in Chicago. My goal is to visit Abruzzi soon.

My grandfather Cesidio Angelucci, 98 years old still alive, few days ago told me about his story. They were three brothers, Cesidio, Vincenzo e Saverio, their father's name was Giuseppe Angelucci and their mother's name was Madonna Susanna. Vincenzo was born in Fonterossi (Lama dei Peligni,CH) in 1891. He emigrated somewhere in U.S.A. in 1913. Since Vincenzo went to U.S.A., nobody knows about him. I would like to tell my grandfather, before he'll die, some good news about his brother's family that he never knew.
Questo è un bellissimo sito!!!

My maternal grandparents were born and married in old Rosburgo, now Roseto degli Abruzzi. They were born in Montepagano. Victoria Braccili was born there in 1881. Pasquale Francani was born there in 1874. He later moved to Atri where he was living at the time of the marriage. They were married in Montepagano in 1903 before emigrating to America. Their daughter Amelia Francani was my mother. Other surnames that go back to the 1800's that I discovered through documents of marriages are D'Eugenio, Belisari, di Giulia, Di Pietro, and Palumbi. I was wondering if Luigi Braccili may be a distant relative. He is listed on your website under Anthology of Books on Abruzzi, under the last item 21 as the author.
