Milano: Duomo and Madonnina
The Gothic cathedral (Duomo) and the Madonnina, the gilded statue on its highest spire are the most beloved symbols by Milanese people. The Cathedral was started in 1386, and dedicated to Santa Maria Nascente. The main spire, was built only in the 18th century, and on it the statue of the Madonnina, in gilded copper, 4 meters and 16 cm tall, was later placed, at a height of 108 meters from the base of the cathedral. The final part of the video is a short scene from a movie with Totò and Eduardo de Filippo.
