Alice and Helen Kessler
Alice and Ellen Kessler (Nerchau, August 20, 1936) are German dancers and singers, popular as the "Kessler Twins" in Italy (but also in France and Germany), especially in the 1960's and 70's. The video appeared in the TV program Figu, album di persone notevoli, portraits of famous people who marked Italian history. The Kessler twins arrived in Italy on 16 January 1961, the same day of the opening of the Leonardo da Vinci airport, and found a very different, more simple Italy. And in Italy Alice and Ellen found fame, success, love.
Alice and Ellen are a true piece of history of Italian variety and society, they became an Italian icon of the economic boom, millions of Italians were enchanted by their Teutonic verve and their long, long legs.
